A double CD compilation released by Choking Hazard Records from Canada. 8 bands, about 2 hours and 30 minutes of doom & sludge. Some of the songs have been released before on records or demos.

CD 1: First up is Atavist. Their song is 20 minutes long and it starts nicely with with a clean guitar witch lasts for a few minutes until the distorted guitar and low growling sludge comes in. And it doesnīt even get boring as I thought at first. I want to hear more Atavist. After Atavist is Moloch and they have 3 songs on this compilation. This is a bit faster sludge and it's a bit more hardcore, which is nice. Austrian Goat are also featured by 3 songs here, this sounds like the type of sludge/doom that is playing on the background, it isnīt very aggressive. Itīs ok but itīs not good. The Whorehouse Massacre is the weakest band on CD1 in my opinion. I donīt like the sounds, guitar sounds too Metal Zone. Their first song is quite bad but the two others are a bit better.

CD 2: Disc 2 starts with 3 songs by Stasis. Sludge/doom with mostly screaming your lungs out vocals +occasional softer parts with clean vocals which I donīt like very much. Next up is British Feast Of Sins. 3 songs of slow tempo doom/sludge with low growling vocals. The clock is 7 a.m. and this sounds too boring for me. Iīll have try to listen to Feast Of Sins again later. The songs sound too similar to each other. Ghost Empire is from Italy and this sounds pretty good. I donīt know should I call this sludge or slow hardcore but I like it. Iron Monkey comes to mind in some parts. Only 2 songs from these guys. I want to hear more. The last band on this lengthy compilation is Welter In Thy Blood. Well this one song is way too much for me and my taste. Almost 15 minutes slow doom with distorted vocals with too much echo and some samples. All in all maybe this compilation is a bit too long.
