At last, Heavy Metal Perse is available in the form of a vinyl! HMP decided to celebrate their 10th anniversary with a new 7"-vinyl single. The single includes a one new song and one previously unreleased demo track that was re-recorded during the recording sessions for their full-lenght "Eripura."

Both of the songs are rather brisk and straightforward. The new track "Hornan Koje" consists of traditional Accept-like heavy riffing, whereas "Ja ylitse vihaisen meren" on the B-side is closer to power metal -oriented style of playing. The sounds are good and the instruments are handled with feeling and attitude. I'm sure that the band was aiming for a straightforward end result, but I myself would've hoped for some more variation with the tempos or comping to the song structures. But anyway, the songs have a good feel and they make you bang your head!

I wish HMP well, as there truly isn't a lot of Finnish heavy/power metal with with this much attitude!
