From the very first seconds I push play distortion and bubbling resonance greets my eardrums.
The noise is minimal and monotonous with small changes in pitch and frequency.
Over the complete span of this short release the eardrums are treated with no gentle touch, but brutally pounded with the harsh rumbling and sporadic high frequencies.
... but what can we really get out of this violent assault?
I believe it goes down to preferences, but in this case the constant battering causes nothing more than numbness for the mind, leaving the conclusion flat.
I would gladly have welcomed more variation and surprises to keep the mind awake and disturbed.
